Assistant Nurse for Social Services in Örkelljunga Municipality

The Social Services Department in Örkelljunga Municipality consists of social services, elderly care, municipal healthcare, care for people with disabilities, and preventive functions. We are organized into a preventive unit, an authority unit, and an executive unit. Our guiding principle is teamwork, leveraging the strength of a small municipality by working closely together in short decision chains for an efficient organization and a operation-oriented perspective.

Job Responsibilities

Your work involves providing care and services based on each individual's needs. As care staff, your most important task is to support the individual in their daily life according to their needs and wishes. This may involve personal care, help with meals, cleaning, laundry, and social activities. You work according to clear routines and implementation plans and document your work. In some cases, medical tasks are included via delegation from a nurse. Which interventions are performed and how often are determined based on the Social Services Act.

Working hours vary but are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. Weekend shifts are arranged every third weekend.

Qualifications and Requirements

We are looking for someone who is attentive, flexible, and service-oriented. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, as well as the ability to create security and treat people with respect. You can work both independently and in a team.

Requirements:

  • You are educated as an assistant nurse (undersköterska)
  • Valid Category B driver's license
  • Experience in care work

To be employed as an assistant nurse in Örkelljunga Municipality, proof of the protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) must be presented.

Employment Terms and Conditions

Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: Start date 1/9/2026 or by agreement.
Working Hours: Days, evenings, and weekends.

Interviews are conducted continuously. If your qualifications match our needs, you will be invited to an interview.

During the interview process, you will need to prove your citizenship. This can be done with a passport or alternatively a population registration certificate together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit, which is required after control according to the Aliens Ordinance.

Upon receiving a job offer, applicants must submit an extract from the criminal record register before employment can commence. Orders are placed via the police website.
